Kevin Doyle, Ed. D., LPC, LSATP
Kevin Doyle is Chair of the Department of Education and Counseling and an Associate Professor in the Counselor Education program at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia, where he has taught since 2012. He also has a private counseling practice, specializing in group work with individuals with substance use disorders, with a recent focus on healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and dentists. Licensed as a professional counselor and as a substance abuse treatment practitioner in Virginia, he is serving his fourth term on the Virginia Board of Counseling, including three terms as Board Chair. He is currently co-chair of the Ethics Committee of the American Counseling Association. Before entering academia full-time, he worked in various addiction treatment programs for the previous 26 years, including residential, outpatient, and inpatient settings. He holds a doctorate in Counselor Education from the University of Virginia.
