  Kick off the workshop with brief introductions and an overview of the afternoon’s sessions.

  1:10 – 2:25pm: Navigating the Table: Managing Board Personalities & Power Dynamics

  Go beyond meeting basics; this session explores how to lead productive counseling board meetings and effectively manage the people around the table. Learn strategies for navigating conflict, balancing personalities, and building a collaborative counseling board culture. The session will conclude with an audience Q&A.

  AASCB Board Member Training

  The American Association of State Counseling Boards strives to create a vibrant community to enhance counseling regulation. As part of this mission, the Board of Directors has created a series of modules to help train new and experienced board members. These modules highlight the role of the licensing board, staff and chair roles, and ethics.

  Developed with the Council on Licensure, Enforcement, and Regulation, these modules will aid in training and help boards work efficiently, understand their role, and serve effectively in the public interest.

  AASCB strives to provide counseling boards with the education and training to promote public protection.
